Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH04245400
Kind Code:

Abstract:

PURPOSE: To reduce the burden of operation on an air-traffic controller and to use a runway more efficiently by informing the pilot of an airplane of the instruction of the air traffic controller more accurately.

CONSTITUTION: When the air traffic controller operates an entry instruction operation part 4, the display states of signal lamps 1A and 1B change from an entry inhibition state to an entry permission state with the entry instruction operation signal of the operation part and the instruction of the air traffic controller is sent to the pilot of the airplane. Further, when airplane body detecting means 2A and 2B detects the airplane entering the runway, the display states of the signal lamps 1A and 1B are automatically reset to the entry inhibition state from the entry permission state.
