Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reliably keep an airtight state even when a furnace core tube is at a high temperature, in a joint configured to block an opening part of an end part of the furnace core tube in a heating furnace.SOLUTION: An airtight joint 1 configured to block an opening part 2a of an end part of a furnace core pipe 2 in a heating furnace 10, includes: an airtight joint body 11 that has a holding part 11c holding the inner peripheral surface and outer peripheral surface of the furnace core pipe 2 and provided with grooves 11b on the inner peripheral surface side; and a first O ring 12 fitted into the groove 11b of the holding part 11c and contacting with the inner peripheral surface. In the airtight joint, a linear expansion coefficient of the holding part 11c is larger than a linear expansion coefficient of the furnace core pipe 2, and the holding part 11c is swollen by heating to thereby push the first O ring 12 against the inner peripheral surface for sealing.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
