Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance the airtightness between a chamber on the combustion-gas atmosphere side and a chamber on the atmospheric air side.
SOLUTION: This apparatus has a supporting tube 11 housing oxygen sensor elements, a case containing the supporting tube 11, a chamber on the combustion-gas atmosphere side and a chamber on the atmospheric air side in the case and a sealing part S, which cuts off the chamber on the combustion-gas atmosphere side and the chamber on the atmospheric air side between the case and the supporting tube 11. In the sealing part S, the following parts are provided. A plurality of protruding parts 34 are provided in a loop pattern around the supporting tube 11 at the inner surface of the case facing the outer surface of the supporting tube 11 in a sealing chamber 20 between the inner surface of the case and the outer surface of the supporting tube 11. A plurality of protruding parts 35 are provided in a loop pattern around the supporting tube 11 at the outer surface of the supporting tube 11 facing the inner surface of the case in the sealing chamber 20. A plurality of protruding parts 37 are provided in a loop pattern around the supporting tube 11 at a pushing member 36, which is coupled into the sealing chamber 20. Talc powder 39 is filled in an air path 38 in the sealing chamber 20 formed among the respective protruding parts 34, 25 and 37. Therefore, the cross-sectional area of the air path 38 becomes narrow, and the air path 38 becomes long.
