Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an accumulator which can surely inhibit a bumping phenomenon and an impulsive sound associated therewith without causing complication, cost increase, increase in size, etc.SOLUTION: An accumulator has a bottomed cylindrical tank 10 with an upper surface opening closed by a lid member 12 which is provided with an inflow port 15 and an outflow port 16. A refrigerant introduced into the inflow port 15 is led out, through an inflow pipe 20 connected to the inflow port 15, into a liquid state portion which is accumulated in the tank 10 and formed of oil and the liquid phase refrigerant, to generate a swirl flow or a vortex flow in the liquid state portion along the inner peripheral surface of the tank 10 and stir the liquid state portion.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
