Title:
AL-MG ALLOY RAW MATERIAL FOR FLUX CORED WIRE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH05237692
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To decrease the amt. of the spatters to be generated and to improve the performance of a weld metal part by using an Al-Mg alloy contg. Mg at a specific ratio for the seaming type flux cored wire.

CONSTITUTION: The Al-Mg alloy contg. ≥90% and ≥98% Mg is added as an arc stabilizer and deoxidizing agent into the flux filled in the seaming type flux cored wire. The amt. of the spatters to be generated increases and the impact value decreases as well if the Mg content is below 90%. The amt. of the spatters to be generated increases when the Mg content exceeds 98%. The Al-Mg alloy raw material for the flux cored wire which decreases the amt. of the spatters to be generated and improve the performance of the deposited metal part is thus provided.
