PURPOSE: To prevent the raising of an unnecessary alarm due to the use of the hand brake required by a method wherein the forgetting of the return of the hand brake is discriminated and an alarm is given through a voice by means of a voice generator when car speed exceeds set value.

CONSTITUTION: Under a condition that the hand brake is pulled, a hand brake switch 1 is closed, and a brake condition display lamp 2 is lit while a transistor 3 is at ON. An automobile is made travel under this condition, and a car speed detecting switch 4 is closed when car speed exceeds the set value of said switch 4. Accordingly, an NAND gate 6 outputs logic "0", a transistor 7 is at ON by the output and gives the voice generator 8 command signals, and the voice generator 8 raises the alarm of the forgetting of the return of the hand brake through the voice.
