To provide an alarm device of an industrial vehicle capable of promoting a vehicle to travel, while holding a cargo from the upper and the lower sides with a pair of arms.

The alarm device 1 comprises a hold detection means 2, an angle detection means 3, a speed detection means 4, an alarm 7 and a control means 6. The control means 6 decides that a cargo 20 is held by a pair of arms 12a, 12b, based on the detection signal from the hold detection means 2; and determines the non-vertical holding state that the cargo 20 is held from the upper and the lower sides by the pair of arms 12a, 12b, based on the detection signal from the angle detection means 3; and gives the output signal to the alarm 7 so that an alarm is given by the alarm 7, when it is determined, based on the detection signal of the speed detection means 4, that the speed of a forklift 10 is equal to or higher than the predetermined value.
