Abstract:
To provide an alarm device that effectively prevents fraudulent behavior by store clerks, and to provide a method for controlling the alarm device and program.
The alarm device includes: a processing start detection unit 22 that detects start of account processing by a POS terminal 1; a person detection unit 23 that detects existence of persons around a checkout counter where the POS terminal 1 is provided; and an operator alarming unit 25 and a manager alarming unit 82 that give an alarm if the person detection unit 23 cannot detect a person other than the operator who operates the POS terminal 1 when the processing start detection unit 22 detects start of the account processing.
