Abstract:

To provide an alarm capable of further enhancing the reliability of a security alert against gas leaks, incomplete combustion, fires and the like.

The alarm that issues a security alert upon detecting one or two of gas leaks, incomplete combustion, fires and the like detects the failed part and/or the failed condition of a detection circuit part 2 including sensors for detecting gas leaks, incomplete combustion, fires and the like. An alarm output part 5 issues an alarm in such a way that the failed part or the failed condition can be identified. Failure detection may be achieved through the comparison of the sensor output values with predetermined threshold values or the comparison of the amount of change in the sensor output values per unit time with a predetermined amount of change per unit time.
