To process the surface of an ALC panel to form a design groove having a bow-shaped longitudinal cross section with good appearance.
This surface processing tool 1 is equipped with the base part 2 attached to a roller and the blade part 5 provided to the front in the rotary direction of the base part 2. The blade part 5 is formed into a groove shape wherein the front and the surface on the side of the roller are opened. A cutting edge 7 having a V-shaped front is formed to the front end of the blade part 5 and a rake surface 8 with a rake angle of about 45-75° is provided to the inner surface of the blade part 5. The blade part 5 rakes up the ALC matrix of the surface part of the panel at a part of a circular motion locus to cut the surface of the ALC panel 11 to form the design groove 12 having the bow-shaped longitudinal cross section.
