Abstract:
To provide a new fluorene skeleton-containing alcohol excellent in heat resistance etc., and having an excellent handling property even having a 9,9-bis(aryl)fluorene skeleton.
This alcohol is a compound expressed by formula (1) [wherein, ring Z is a fused polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbon ring such as a naphthalene ring or the like; R1 is an alkyl or the like; R2 is an alkylene; R3 is a substituting group such as a hydrocarbon group or the like; (k) is an integer of 0 to 4; (m) is an integer of 1; (n) is 0 or an integer of 1; (p) is an integer of 1].
