PURPOSE: To obtain alcoholic beverage which enables medical decoctions of Chinese herbs to be readily taken in, is prepared by extracting the active ingredients sufficiently from the herbs and can be easily drunk because of its mellow taste.

CONSTITUTION: A Chinese herb such as REISHI. (Ganoderma lucidum) is subjected to decoction with hot water at 75±10°C for a few hours to extract the active ingredients. The extract is mixed with alcoholic beverage. As hot water kept at 75±10°C is activated by irradiation with far infrared rays (about 60Hz according to NMR measurement), the decoction of the Chinese herb such as REISHI is continued over several hours to obtain the extract. Then, the extract is mixed with the alcoholic beverage. Or the herb is extracted with hot water containing naturally occurring organic calcium-containing substance at 75±10°C and the extract is mixed with the alcoholic beverage.
