PURPOSE: To select a pin regardless of shape by inserting a pin to a different form portion in a holder of a reversing mechanism to be held, and discriminating and removing unaligned parts according to the projecting length over the holder at the time of reversing an a conveying apparatus for a pin having a different form position or the like.

CONSTITUTION: A pin P conveyed in the longitudinal direction on a guide groove 13 of a guide rail 10 is inserted in a guide groove 30 of a select holder 20, with a different form portion B engaged with an opening end of the select holder 20, and temporarily stopped by a stopper 12. Therefore, according to direction of a pin, a difference in length of a portion projecting over the holder is caused, and the inserted end of the pin is engaged or disengaged with and from a holding groove 33 of the holder 20. Accordingly, when a reversing block 22 is reversed in direction of an arrow, a reversed pin has a projecting end thereof brought into contact with a select plate 21, so that the pin is removed from the holder 20. In this arrangement, a pin can be selected easily and reliably regardless of the size of a different form portion.
