PURPOSE: To make it possible to automatically store various kinds of plates in a magazine or the like, by feeding plates transmitted one by one on a pair of rotary bars for receiving the plates in the horizontal direction,a nd by rotating inward the rotary bars after a predetermined number of plates are aligned thereon.

CONSTITUTION: Plates which have been fed to the right end of a pair of rotary bars 85, are fed to the left by means of an arm 86 swingable about a shaft 89 while the revolution thereof is detected, and are aligned. When the number of aligned plates reaches a predetermined value, the arm 86 stops it movement, and a flat cam 112 are moved upward by means of a cylinder through a rod 113 guided by a guide 114 so that a lever 109 is rotated by means of a roller 111, resulting in the inward rotation of the rotary bars 85. Accordingly, the plates which have been aligned are dropped onto a tray, etc. positioned therebelow. Meanwhile the rotary bars 85 are moved back and force to be adjusted to the widths of the plates by means of arms 92 secured to base plates 94 which are secured to and guided by shafts 31, 32 that are journalled by bearings 33, movably in longitudinal opposite directions.
