Title:
ALIGNMENT DEVICE FOR OPTICAL FIBER, AND PHOTOELECTRIC COMPONENT
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH06222249
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To provide the device for aligning and clamping the optical fiber and the electronic component fixed to a base.

CONSTITUTION: The optical fiber 2 is fixed in a metallic sleeve 6 clamped by a clamp 10 in a 'key hole' shape. A slot 11 couples the photoelectronic component fixedly with the base which is parallel to the optical axis of the electronic component. A chip 12 of the clamp 10 is introduced into the slot 11, which is so designed as to give three degrees of freedom. When alignment is possible by dynamic operation, the component is fixed by the soldering with a laser. This device is applicable to an optical head.
