PURPOSE: To provide a correction mechanism capable of correcting an angular position of a lead-mounted electronic component having more than three leads on a specified position.
CONSTITUTION: There are provided a component holding shaft 24 which rotates freely based on the angular position and holds a main body 3 of a laser diode(LD) 2, two correctors 102 and 103 which are laid out in parallel with each other in the same plane which crosses leads 4a, 4b and 4c of the LD held with the component holding shaft, and a movable base 86 which holds the correctors and which is moved in the arrangement direction by means of an air cylinder. Moving the two correctors in their layout direction forces one corrector to depress one lead or two leads with the different correctors consecutively and rotates the LD based on the angular position, thereby correcting the position of the LD to a specified position.
