PURPOSE: To adjust the alignment of a rear suspension automatically by calculating and enumerating a first and a second adjusting quantities from the data of the toe and camber quantities measured by a measuring means and the toe and camber quantities within the set range determined by a setting means.
CONSTITUTION: The length measuring sensors 2g-2j of a measuring means are brought into contact with the outer surfaces of the bilateral disc plates 17k of a rear suspension 17 so as to measure the toe quantity and the camber quantity. An arithmetic and control means 22 calculates and enumerates a first and a second adjusting quantities from the measured data and the toe and camber quantities within the set range determined by a setting means 20 and generates a first and a second control signals according to the first and second adjusting quantities. A first adjusting means 14d inputted with the first control signal changes the fitting position of the root part of a first lower arm 17a according to the first control signal as well as a second adjusting means 16d inputted with the second control signal changes the fitting position of the root part of a second lower arm 17b according to the second control signal. Accordingly, each disc plate 17k is automatically adjusted.
