Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an alkali metal cell reduced in size and reduced in cost without deterioration of reliability.SOLUTION: An alkali metal cell of the present embodiment includes: a substrate including a through hole; a first light transmitting substrate having one surface joined to the substrate and including a chamfered structure at a part of an edge on the other surface; a second light transmitting substrate facing the first light transmitting substrate via the through hole and having one surface joined to the substrate; alkali metal and buffer gas sealed at the inside of the through hole; a heater formed on the first light transmitting substrate and heating the inside to a predetermined temperature; and a wiring connected to the heater and passing through the chamfered structure.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
