Abstract:
To provide an alkaline earth metal-containing MFI type zeolite that can simultaneously produce light hydrocarbon compounds and aromatic compounds from an aliphatic hydrocarbon, exhibits excellent performance in productivity, stability, and long life at that time, and can be applied as a catalyst for simultaneous production of the light hydrocarbon compounds and the aromatic compounds.SOLUTION: An alkaline earth metal-containing MFI type zeolite satisfies characteristics shown in following (i) to (iii). (i) The alkaline earth metal-containing MFI type zeolite has a mesopore group having a mesopore distribution curve with a peak, a half value width (hw) of the peak of hw≤20 nm, a maximum value (μ) of the peak at 10 nm≤μ≤20 nm, and mesopore volume (pv) of the mesopore corresponding to the peak of 0.05 ml/g≤pv. (ii) There is no peak in a range of 0.1 to 3 degrees in powder X-ray diffraction measurement with a diffraction angle set to 2θ. (iii) An average particle size (PD) satisfies PD≤100 nm.SELECTED DRAWING: None
