Abstract:

To provide a production method of an alkene-acrylate-norbornene terpolymer, which comprises polymerizing a monomer mixture comprising alkene, acrylate and norbornene in the presence of a Lewis acid using a radical initiator.

There is provided a production method of an alkene-acrylate-norbornene terpolymer, which can produce the copolymer even in mild conditions of low temperature and low pressure by using Lewis acid, has simple steps and is easy in control of physical properties of the copolymer. Further, as the terpolymer produced by the method comprises both ethylene and norbornene, it has comparatively high glass transition temperature and is improved in defect of broken in the production of films.
