Abstract:
An alkyl-substituted diphenyl ether which has at least two C10-20 alkyl substituents and in which the proportion of alkyl substituents which have added in the 1-position is 5% or higher. The ether combines excellent high-temperature properties with excellent low-temperature properties. A composition containing the ether is highly excellent when used as a lubricant composition, grease composition, etc.
