Abstract:

To practice the mixing of an olefin with a catalyst in a mixing zone preceding a reactional zone under temperature and pressure conditions for promoting the formation of a complex in an alkylating method for an aliphatic compound.

This method for alkylating an isoparaffin is to alkylate the isoparaffin with an olefin in the presence of a liquid acidic catalyst. A charging raw material containing the olefin is mixed with an effluent containing the isoparaffin in the first mixing zone to provide a diluted charging raw material and form an emulsion of an acidic catalyst in a hydrocarbon effluent containing the isoparaffin in the emulsion zone. Thereby, the hydrocarbon effluent is made to compose the continuous phase of the resultant formed emulsion. The acidic emulsion in the hydrocarbon effluent is mixed with the diluted charging raw material in the second mixing zone and the prepared mixture is then fed into a reaction zone to react the mixture.
