This method comprises synthesizing an alkylhydrogenchlorosilane of the formula, R(4-n-m)SiClnHm [(m) is 1 or 2; (n) is 1 or 2; (m+n)≤3; R is a 1-5C alkyl] by catalytically reacting an alkylchlorosilane of the formula, R(4-p)SiClp [(p) is 1, 2 or 3] with hydrogen.
