Abstract:
PURPOSE: To obtain a dental alloy being of lightweight, solid, and tough, excellent in corrosion resistance, and having superior castability and color tone by specifying a composition consisting of Ti, Ni, Pd, and Sn.
CONSTITUTION: The alloy is a dental alloy having a composition which consists of, by weight, 10-90% Ti, 7-81% Ni, 0.1-18% Pd, and 0.1-9% Sn and in which 0.1-2% of at least one element among Pt, Rh, and Ir is further added, if necessary. This alloy is inexpensive and of lightweight and has superior corrosion resistance, manufacturability, aesthetic characteristic, etc.
