Title:
ALLOY FOR ELECTRIC CONDUCTIVE ROLL IN ELECTROPLATING EQUIPMENT
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH01219134
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To obtain an Ni alloy suitable to a material for the conduction of electricity in an electroplating equipment having excellent hardness and electric conductive corrosion resistance by adding specific amounts of Cr, Mo, Nb and other elements to Ni and alloying them.

CONSTITUTION: The Ni-based alloy contg., by weight, <0.1% C, <2.0% Si, <2.0% Mn, 10W25% Cr, 7W12% Mo, 1W5% Nb, 0.5W2.0% Al and 0.5W5.0% Ti, furthermore contg. one or more kinds among 5W15% Co, <3% V, <3% W, <2.5% Cu and <0.2% N and the balance consisting of Ni is used as a roll material which is employed in a plating bath in order to convey steel strips to be plated and to conduct electricity thereto as a cathode in an electroplating equipment. The roll having high hardness and excellent wear resistance and having excellent corrosion resistance at the time of conducting electricity to the steel strips as a cathode in a plating bath can be obtd.
