Abstract:
PURPOSE: To obtain the titled alloy for an oil well pipe by adding specified amounts of C, Si, Mn, P, S, sol. Al, Ni, Cr and Mo and/or W to Fe so as to provide an alloy composition satisfying the conditions of specified equations.
CONSTITUTION: The composition of an alloy for an oil well pipe is composed of, by weight, <0.1% C, <1% Si, <2% Mn, <0.03% P, <0.007% S, <0.5% sol. Al, 30W60% Ni, 15W35% Cr, <12% Mo and/or <24% W, and the balance Fe with inevitable impurities while satisfying the conditions of equationsI, II. To said composition may be added <2% Cu and/or <2% Co, or 1 or ≥2 kinds of elements selected from <0.1% rare earth element, <0.2% Y, <0.1% Mg, <0.5% Ti and <0.1% Ca.
