PURPOSE: To obtain an internal dispersion strengthening Cu alloy product having a prolonged life by preparing alloy powder contg. a specified amount of Ti cimbined with Al in the Cu matrix to improve the strength at ordinary temp. and high temp., especially the hardness.
CONSTITUTION: This alloy powder for forming a dispersion strengthening Cu alloy is alloy powder of ≤100mesh contg. 0.1W1wt% in total of Al and Ti solubilized in Cu. The amount of Ti is 20W80wt% of the total amount of Al and Ti. Electrolytic copper and prescribed amounts of Al and Ti are melted in an inert gaseous atmosphere in an induction heating furnace, and water atomization and screen classification are carried out to manufacture said alloy powder. A Cu alloy product is formed by an internal oxidation method using the powder as a starting material.
