Title:
ALLOY-POWDER FOR RARE EARTH-TRANSITION METAL PERMANENT MAGNET
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH06151130
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To obtain alloy powder having a high energy product and formable into complicated shapes, by coating the surfaces of alloy powder having an RE2TM14B compound as a main substance, by plated specific alloy films.

CONSTITUTION: This alloy powder for permanent magnet is obtained by coating the surfaces of RExTMI1-x-yBy alloy powder of average grain diameter 0.3 to 50μm by plated TMII1-zXz alloy films of thickness 0.1 to 10μm. Here, RE implies a rare earth element containing Y, TM at least one kind of element chosen from Fe, Co, and Ni, TMII at least one kind of element chosen from Co and Ni, and X one or two kinds of elements chosen from P and B, and x, y, and z satisfy 0.12≤x≤0.3, 0.05≤y≤0.2, and 0.17≤z≤0.5. Consequently, it becomes possible to manufacture rare earth-transition metal permanent magnets in complicated shapes having high energy products and high dimensional precision, by injection molding easily.
