Abstract:
To provide a method for efficiently obtaining a solution containing nickel and/or cobalt, from an alloy containing nickel and/or cobalt, and copper of a waste lithium ion battery or the like.SOLUTION: An alloy treatment method for obtaining a solution containing nickel and/or cobalt from an alloy containing nickel and/or cobalt, and copper includes a leaching step of adding an acid solution in a state where a sulfurizing agent coexists to an alloy, and subjecting the mixture to leaching treatment, and obtaining a leachate and leaching residues. In the leaching step, the leaching treatment is performed so that copper concentration in a reaction solution is maintained in a range of 0.5 g/L or more and 15 g/L or less by adding a divalent copper ion source. Further, in the leaching step, the leaching treatment is performed so that an oxidation reduction potential of the reaction solution is maintained to be 50 mV or more with a silver/silver chloride electrode as a reference electrode.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
