Abstract:
PURPOSE: To reduce vibration and noise of a synchronous generator for a vehicle having a Randel field pole.
CONSTITUTION: Switches 11a to 11f of a three-phase full-wave rectifier 11 are controlled to feed a reverse current to the stator windings 5a to 5c of a three- phase synchronous generator 100 through the semiconductor switching elements 11a to 11f from a battery 9. In this way, distortion of the waveform of the armature current in each phase is improved by this reverse current, thus to reduce pulsation of electromagnetic force, and as a result to reduce vibration and noise.
