Abstract:

To provide an activation catalyst composition for an olefin polymerization, a methylaluminoxane (MAO) type composition showing higher efficiency than conventional MAO and a manufacturing method of the composition.

These compositions can be generated from at least a) an intermediate composition generated from at least an organic aluminum compound, a carrier, and an oxygen source, and b) R²₂AlY, where each R² independently contains a hydrocarbyl group having 1 to 20 carbon atoms, Y contains a halogenated radical, a pseudo halogenated radical, an alkoxide radical, an aryloxide radical, an alkyl substituted amide radical, an aryl substituted amide radical, a cyloxy radical, a boronoxy radical, a diaryl boronoxy radical or a halogenated diaryl boronoxy radical.
