PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an aluminoxane-containing composition having high chemical stability to water, and a method for producing the same.SOLUTION: An aluminoxane-containing composition has the characteristics of (i) and (ii): (i) it contains a compound containing two or more repeating units represented by formula (1); and (ii) the molar ratio O/Al of oxygen (O) to Al in the compound is 0.85-1.3 (where, O binding to Si is not included) (Ris a C6-15 aryl group, R-Rindependently represent a repeating unit represented by an aryl group, H, a C1-8 alkyl group, -Al(O-)-O-, -Al(O-)- and the like).SELECTED DRAWING: None
