Abstract:
To provide an aluminum alloy which has eutectic Si refined, has pro-eutectic Si less formed, inhibits a harmful intermetallic compound from forming, makes the DAS of an α crystal lowered, and has macro crystal grains all finely granulated.
The aluminum alloy includes 8-18 mass% Si, 2.5-6.0 mass% of Cu, 0.3-1.2 mass% of Mg, 0.010-0.020 mass% of B, and Ti in such an amount by mass% that a value of (B-0.45 Ti) is 0.010 or more; and has pro-eutectic Si with the maximum size of 50 μm or less, eutectic Si with an average size of 10 μm or less, and the DAS of the aluminum α crystal with a size of 15 μm or less.
