To provide an aluminum alloy brazing fin material that can be brazed to a tube material with high brazing performance and is excellent in self-corrosion resistance, thermal conductivity and sacrificial anode effect, and a heat exchanger using the fin material.
The aluminum alloy brazing fin material 1 includes a core material 2 and brazing filler metals 3 and 3 attached to both sides thereof, wherein the core material 2 is made of an aluminum alloy comprising 1.2-1.8 mass% Mn, 0.10-3.0 mass% Zn, 0.20 mass% Fe and the balance being Al and unavoidable impurities. After a brazing treatment, Al-Mn-Si intermetallic compound has a number density of ≥1×104/mm2. The brazing filler metal 3 includes an aluminum alloy containing 6.8-11.0 mass% Si, ≤0.20 mass% Fe and the balance being Al. The fin material 1 itself shows an electric conductivity of ≤45% IACS before the brazing treatment.
