To provide a method for producing an aluminum alloy clad material capable of making high strength and formability compatible in the case of adding Mg of high concentration to a surface material.
The aluminum alloy clad material is produced by cladding one side of an Al-Mn based aluminum alloy core material having an Mg content of ≤0.3% with an Al-Si based brazing filler metal, and cladding the other side with an aluminum alloy surface material containing 1 to 4% Mg. In the production method, the clad material is hot-rolled, is cold-rolled to a prescribed sheet thickness, is heat-treated at 330 to 550°C, and is pickled, or the material is cold-rolled to a prescribed sheet thickness, the sheet, is pickled, and is subsequently heat-treated at 330 to 380°C. Further, the material is cooled at a cooling rate of 2 to 20°C.hr after heat treatment.
