Abstract:
To provide an aluminum alloy connecting rod capable of securing the strength of a connecting rod, and capable of suppressing cost.
The aluminum alloy connecting rod 20 is rotatably coupled to a crank pin 16a with a large end part 22 and a cap 25 by the cap 25 being assembled to the large end part 22 of the connecting rod body 21. The connecting rod body 21 and the cap 25 are formed by diecasting. Only the connecting rod body 21 is subjected to solution treatment and the cap 25 is not subjected to the solution treatment in a step after being formed by the diecasting for suppressing the strength of the cap 25 lower than that of the connecting rod body 21.
