Abstract:
PURPOSE: To obtain an Al alloy core for a heat exchanger having superior corrosion resistance by blending an Al alloy for heat exchanger fins with specified amounts of Zn and Mn and an Al alloy as brazing filler metal with specified amounts of Si, Mg and Li and/or Ca.
CONSTITUTION: An Al alloy for heat exchanger fins are blended with 0.5W1wt% Zn and 1W1.5wt% Mn, and an Al alloy as brazing filler metal with 5W16wt% Si, 0.5W1wt% Mg and 0.005W0.01wt% Li and/or 0.01W0.05wt% Ca. An Al alloy tube is combined with heat exchanger fins of the resulting Al alloy contg. Zn and Mn, and they are joined together with the resulting Al alloy contg. Si, Mg and Li and/or Ca as brazing filler metal to manufacture a core for a heat exchanger.
