The aluminum alloy foil for the current collector has a chemical composition of, by the mass percentage, Si: 0.01-0.4%, Fe: 0.01-0.9%, Mg: 0.1-1.5% excluding 1.5%, with the balance being Al and inevitable impurities. The aluminum alloy foil has a thickness of 20 μm or less and a tensile strength of 190 MPa or higher. The chemical composition may include one or more selected from, by the mass percentage, Cu: 0.01-0.30% and Mn: 0.1-0.50% excluding 0.50%. The chemical composition may also include one or more selected from, by the mass percentage, Ti: 0.01-0.10%, Cr: 0.01-0.40%, and Zr: 0.01-0.40%.
