Abstract:
To provide an aluminum alloy-made forged member which has excellent tensile characteristics and sufficiently secures strength and reliability as the whole member, in which variations in microstructures and tensile characteristics are suppressed and to provide an efficient manufacturing for producing the same.SOLUTION: There is provided a method for manufacturing an aluminum alloy-made forged member by forging an aluminum alloy-made billet, wherein the aluminum alloy-made billet comprises 0.6 to 1.2 mass% of Si, 0.1 to 0.25 mass% of Fe, 0.2 to 1.1 mass% of Cu, 0.7 to 1.2 mass% of Mg, 0.1 to 0.4 mass% of Cr, more than 0 to 0.1 mass% of Ti and the balance Al with inevitable impurities, a content of Mg2Si is 1.1 to 1.8 mass%, an amount of excessive Si not constituting Mg2Si is 0.1 to 0.7 mass% and a temperature-compensated strain rate (Z) in the forging process satisfies a following expression, Z>2×1012 or Z≤2×1010.SELECTED DRAWING: None
