Abstract:

To provide a 7000-series aluminum alloy hollow-extruded material that is extruded through a porthole, with which in the case of a pipe expansion by electromagnetic forming, the excellent pipe-expanding formability can be obtained.

A 7000-series aluminum alloy hollow-extruded material is composed, by mass%, of 3.0-8.0% Zn, 0.4-2.0% Mg, 0.05-2.0% Cu, ≤0.3% Si, ≤0.35% Fe, ≤0.10% the total of one or more kinds of Mn, Cr and Zr and the balance Al with inevitable impurities, and has a recrystallized structure in the whole cross-section.
