Abstract:
PURPOSE: To obtain an alloy which is easily subjected to continuous oxidation within a controllable range by adding to Al or Mg an additive component in an amount effective to cause total oxidation of the alloy at a specified rate in the presence of O2.
CONSTITUTION: To Al or Mg, an effective amount of Na, K, Ca, Ba or the like is added. The obtained alloy inhibits formation of a continuous surface oxidizing layer selectively due to the added component. Accompanying the lapse of time, oxidation is processed on the total alloy continuously. The alloy is preferably used as a flexible laminate sheet material including powder, rolled foil, vacuum deposited film and high molecular layer.
