To provide an Al alloy sheet for can barrel capable of dealing with to the reduction in a can bottom diameter and to provide its producing method.
This Al alloy sheet for can barrel excellent in can bottom formability has a composition containing, by weight, 0.8 to 1.4% Mg, 0.7 to 1.3% Mn, 0.2 to 0.5% Fe, 0.1 to 0.5% Si, 0.1 to 0.3% Cu and 0.005 to 0.05% Ti, and the balance Al with inevitable impurities, and in which tensile strength (N/mm2) and elongation percentage (%) is within the region (dotted part) surrounded by (a), (b), (c) and (d) shown in the figure 1. In the method for producing an Al alloy sheet for can barrel, the Al alloy ingot is subjected to homogenizing treatment and hot rolling in this order by the conventional methods, then is subjected to three pass cold rolling under the condition that the outlet side temperature in the first pass and the second pass is controlled to ≤130°C, the outlet side temperature in the third pass is controlled to ≥130°C, and the total rolling ratio of the first to third passes is controlled to 70 to 90%.
