Title:
ALUMINUM ALLOY SHEET EXCELLENT IN CURLING PROPERTY AND TIGHTENABILITY AND ITS PRODUCTION
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3850542
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an aluminum alloy sheet excellent in curling property and seaming property which has strength required of a can end and is capable of inhibiting wrinkling at the time of curling and seaming at a low cost and applicable to various can ends and, preferably, has excellent scoring workability, and its production.
SOLUTION: An aluminum alloy ingot, having a composition consisting of, by weight. 3.00-5.50% Mg, 0.20-0.60% Mn, 0.10-0.60% Fe, 0.05-0.30% Si, 0.03-0.30% Cr, 0.03-0.20% Cu, 0.01-0.10% Ti, and the balance Al with inevitable impurities, is hot-rolled at ≥90% rolling rate at 310 to 370°C rolling finishing temperature. The resultant hot rolled plate is cold-rolled at 75 to 95% rolling rate to product sheet thickness, and the area occupancy of subgrains in the internal structure is regulated to 3 to 30%.
