Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an aluminum alloy sheet for wheels which is used for the wheels of vehicles such as an automobile, a buggy and a motorcycle, realizes reduction in its wall thickness, is equipped with required strength and excellent in formability, and to provide a manufacturing method for the aluminum alloy sheet and a wheel made of it.
SOLUTION: The aluminum sheet contains 2.0-4.0mass% Mg, ≤0.30mass% Si, ≤0.50mass% Fe, ≤0.20mass% Cu, ≤1.0mass% Mn, 0.01-0.40mass% Cr, ≤0.30mass% Zn, ≤0.30mass% Ti and the balance Al and inevitable impurities, and is essentially an annealed aluminum sheet, and has an ultimate tensile strength of ≥235 N/mm2, a proof stress of ≥125 N/mm2 and an elongation of ≥20%. The aluminum alloy sheet of the composition and the properties is manufactured by processes including levelling the sheet by roller leveler after annealed and the aluminum alloy sheet thus manufactured is used for the wheels.
