Abstract:
To provide an aluminum alloy sliding member which has excellent heat resistance, wear resistance and high recycling properties, and whose weight can be reduced as well.
The aluminum alloy having a composition containing, by weight, 10 to 45% Si and 3 to 15% Cu, and the balance Al with inevitable impurities is obtained. A prescribed region in the surface layer of this aluminum alloy is irradiated with a laser to form a refined region 12.
