PURPOSE: To prevent the generation of a defective image as the supporting body of a photosensitive drum by making it the aluminum alloy tube of specified outer diameter and thickness with the slope part continuing to the outer most part of the outer surface having in the axial direction the uneven pattern continued by a projecting R at the external part.
CONSTITUTION: The blank tube 4 of aluminum alloy is fitted to a mandrel 5, fed in the axial direction by abutting to the three rollers 7 having an R worked in a mirror face and the aluminum alloy tube 1 forming an unevenness on the outer surface is formed. An insulating body 2 is laminated on the aluminum alloy tube 1 in 10mmW200mm outer diameter and 0.5mmW3mm thickness having a smooth uneven pattern on the outer surface and a photosensitive body 3 is laminated further thereon to make a photosensitive drum. These laminations are adjusted by a dipping method and the thickness by the control of the lifting speed. The generation of the defective image of an interference fringe, black point, etc., in printing as the supporting body of the photosensitive body drum for an optical printer can thus be prevented.
