Abstract:

PURPOSE: To improve the adhesive property and strength of a thermally stable metallic material and an aluminum alloy by internally chilling a clad material having aluminum alloy layers on both surfaces of the thermally stable metallic material member with an aluminum alloy.

CONSTITUTION: The clad material which has the aluminum alloy layers on both surfaces of the thermally stable metallic material member is used as a reinforcing material and the molten aluminum alloy is used for internal chilling in the production of the aluminum combined material. Since the weldability between the molten aluminum alloy and the aluminum alloy layers is good, the aluminum alloy layers bond securely to the metallic material member as the reinforcing material. The secure joining of the aluminum base material cast via the aluminum alloy sheet and the metallic material member is obtd. in this way and the combined material having the high strength is obtd.
