Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an aluminum electrolytic capacitor which is superior in vibration resistance, and especially arranged for on-vehicle use.SOLUTION: An aluminum electrolytic capacitor comprises: a capacitor device 20 arranged by winding a positive electrode-side electrode foil and a negative electrode-side electrode foil with a separator interposed therebetween; and a metallic case 10 in which the capacitor device 20 is enclosed. The capacitor device has: an extra winding part 220 provided on an outer peripheral portion of the capacitor device 20 and formed by a part of the separator exclusively which is wound around the capacitor device 20 in full circle or further; and a pair of bulging parts 230 of the separator provided at both ends in an axial direction thereof. The metallic case 10 has: a first device-constraining part 110 formed at each corner of the inner face of a bottom part thereof for constraining corresponding one of corner portions of the extra winding part 220; and lateral restriction grooves 121 formed in the outer peripheral surface thereof at a height in a range of H1/2-H1 from the bottom part inner face of the metallic case 10, and each serving as a second device-constraining part 120 for constraining the extra winding part 220 from therearound, provided that H1 represents the height of the capacitor device 20 in the axial direction.
