PURPOSE: To obtain large capacitance stably by using a cathode foil constituted by evaporating titanium onto an aluminum foil substrate forwarded stuck fast to a cooling roll.
CONSTITUTION: An anode foil and a cathode foil organized by evaporating titanium onto an aluminum foil substrate 10 forwarded stuck fast to cooling rolls 3 are wound together with a separator, and impregnated with an electrolytic solution for drive. The aluminum foil 10 is unrolled from a feed roll 4 into a vacuum chamber, and titanium 9 heated by crucibles 7 is evaporated by evaporating rolls 3 at every one surface and the aluminum foil is sent and wound to a take-up roll 5. The direction of forwarding of the aluminum foil 10 is changed through several path rolls 6 on its midway of a forwarding path. Shutters 8 are closed and the evaporation of titanium is prevented until the pre-dissolution, etc., of titanium 9 are stabilized in evaporation. The evaporating rolls 3 are manufactured inside in a water cooling type roll, and titanium is evaporated while water cooling is conducted, thus preparing a titanium-deposited cathode foil.
