Abstract:

To provide an aluminum material for an electrolytic capacitor electrode excellent in etching characteristics, which can surely increase the expanded surface rate and increase the electrostatic capacitance further by forming uniform etch pits in a high density and starting deep etching from these etch pits to make coupling hard within a tunnel.

An anodic oxide film 3 is formed on the surface of the aluminum material 1, and many fine recessed parts 6, which have the average size of 0.01 to 10 m by a circle equivalent diameter and for which the anodic oxide film thinner than the periphery remains at the bottom part or an aluminum base is exposed, are formed in a dispersed state.
